With the aim of supplementing of the North American debut of the Vanquish Zagato Coupe demonstrated at the 2016 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance Aston Martin offered an astounding model for this unusual auto named the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Volante.

Owing to the enormous demand on the previous Coupe model the Vanquish Zagato Volante will be manufactured in a limited number of 99 units at the main production facility of Aston Martin in Gaydon, England.

Activity started more than approximately six decades ago led to the creation of gorgeous muscular racing car DB4 GT Zagato in 1960, the DB7 Vantage Zagato in 2002, V12 Vantage Zagato in 2011 and recently developed Vanquish Zagato Coupe that was presented in the current year. Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Volante became the latest product of this collaborative work.

Aston Martin Zagato models with convertible body created earlier comprise the impressive V8 Vantage Volante, presented for the first time in Geneva in 1987 and the DB AR1 manufactured in 2003. Designed as an open-top model Zagato-bodied DB7 and produced in the same limited number of 99 units, DB AR1 was also intended for sale at the marker of North America and has a reputation of an item capturing the interest of amateurs of autos throughout the world.

The Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Volante will serve as a forceful counterpart to the Aston Martin and Zagato Lineage, realizing improvement and opportunities of Aston Martin along with Zagato’s typical design features. Both autos are distinguished by an improved Aston Martin’s symbolic V12 powertrain, raising its capacity to 592 hp.

The Vanquish Zagato Volante’s proportions are similar to the Coupe, a fundamental Aston Martin shape. The twin cowls placed on the rear deck merge into the front edge of a luggage trunk. Sills made of carbon fibre and placed around the lower part of a car body create a distinct horizontal accent that spreads from body front to rear part.

In terms of interior design the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Volante follows the great tradition of Aston Martin mastery. Aston Martin’s developers can raise individuality of a car salon and improve its finish using superb materials such as carbon fibre with herring-bone pattern, auto detailing supplies with anodized bronze finishes and the unsurpassed Bridge of Weir brand’s leather. The Volante is distinguished by the exclusive signature ‘Z’ in the form of quilting stitch patterns on seats and doors along with the logotype of Zagato in the form of a letter ‘Z’ placed on the seat headrests and centre console.
