Mitsubishi Outlander (2007)

Mitsubishi Outlander

The all-new, second-generation Mitsubishi Outlander for 2007 offers a compelling blend of driven-to-thrill dynamics, bold styling, five- or seven-passenger versatility, plus the segment's first flap-fold tailgate for easy loading and several user-technology firsts for the compact SUV segment. The larger 2007 Outlander is based on a new performance-engineered global platform that will also form the foundation of the next-generation Mitsubishi Lancer and Lancer Evolution models. AllOutlander models are powered exclusively by a new 3.0-liter 220 hp aluminum MIVEC V-6 engine teamed to a six-speed Sportronic(R) automatic transmission (with magnesium steering wheel paddle shifters in XLS models). Bringing innovation to the segment, the Outlander will be the first PZEV V-6 SUV offered in the U.S.

Each of the three trim lines offered for the 2007 Outlander - the value-minded ES, the well equipped LS and the sport/luxury XLS - come standard with front-wheel drive and Active Skid and Traction Control (ASTC). The LS and XLS models are available with an optional electronically controlled 4-wheel drive system - All-Wheel Control (AWC). Mitsubishi's All-Wheel Control philosophy for Outlander combines sophisticated electronically controlled 4-wheel drive with ASTC and a tuned 4-wheel independent suspension, plus an aluminum roof that lowers the center of gravity for better handling response. On Outlander XLS models, 18-in. aluminum-alloy wheels are standard.

The 2007 Outlander debuts a new Mitsubishi design language characterized by clean, sharp lines, featuring a "diamond cut" front end and boldly sculpted fender flares. The sporty interior features deeply contoured front bucket seats and a unique odor-defeating head liner.

Mitsubishi Raider DuroCross

itsubishi's dramatically styled Raider mid-size pickup truck was introduced for 2006 and earned the Best in Class Vehicle Satisfaction Award (VSA) for compact pickups from the renowned AutoPacific, Inc. industry consulting group. The model line has been streamlined for 2007, now offering one extended-cab model and three Double Cab models at launch. A V-8 SE Double Cab model will have late availability. The emphasis on four-door Double Cab models reflects Raider's appeal as a multi-capable SUV alternative.

Raider's bold styling shares signature cues from the Mitsubishi family of vehicles and underscores the truck's active, brawny attitude and purposeful stance. Three Raider models for 2007 are available in the well equipped LS trim line: Extended Cab 2WD; Double Cab 2WD and Double Cab 4WD. The Raider DuroCross Double Cab combines the 2WD drivetrain with a confident go-anywhere, do-anything look and attitude. All Raider models are built on the same long 131.3-inch wheelbase. The Extended Cab model has a 6.4-foot bed, and Double Cab models come with a 5.3-foot bed.

With more than 100 cubic feet of interior space, including a generous 36.4 inches of rear leg room, Raider Double Cab models provide comfort and room for up to six people. The Extended Cab model, with seating for two in the rear, provides 32.1 inches of rear leg room.

At launch, all 2007 Raider models are powered by a standard 210-hp 3.7-liter SOHC V-6 engine that produces 235 lb.-ft. of peak torque. The engine is teamed to a standard six-speed manual transmission in the LS Extended Cab 2WD model, and a four-speed automatic transmission in all others. The late-availability SE Double Cab model will be powered by a 4.7-liter, 235-hp V-8 - the only V-8 among import brand mid-size pickups.

Mitsubishi Colt 5-door (2008)

Mitsubishi Colt 5-door

Confirming its best-seller status for Mitsubishi Motors in the region, Mitsubishi Colt has started its fourth year in the European market with some fine-tuning announced at the 62nd Frankfurt Motor Show in 2007.

Success

With 205,561 cars (3-door, 5-door and coupé-cabriolet included) sold between the initial launch of Spring of 2004 and May 2007 - therefore covering three successive fiscal years - Mitsubishi Colt has successfully re-established the "Colt" nameplate in many a major European market, like Italy (9,122 units for CY2006 / + 8% in Europe's largest B-segment market) or Germany (20,129 sales for CY2006 where it commands a 3.5% market share in the segment).

With most of these sales being conquest - since Mitsubishi Motors did not have any model in this sector before - Colt's performance (81.504 sales for CY2006 or +12.7%) is even more remarkable. More so as the B-segment is one the toughest in Europe, involving all the mega-budget big players and driven by the introduction of new models.

As a further evidence, in B-segment-orientated Southern Europe, Mitsubishi Colt sales increased in Spain by 24.3% during CY2006, with the sporty 3-door variant representing 45% of the total.

Mid-point

Representing nearly 30% of Mitsubishi Motors Europe sales, this CO² friendly range remains an essential pillar for the dealer network to attract newcomers to the Brand (over 70% conquest rate - 2006 data) and also to retain existing multi-motorized Mitsubishi customers looking for a smaller vehicle to second their Pajero, their L200 or their Grandis.

Mitsubishi Lancer ES (2008)

Mitsubishi Lancer ES

The all-new 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer was engineered from bumper to bumper to provide a driven-to-thrill experience behind the wheel. Driving enthusiasts will feel the difference through every curve, especially in the sport-tuned Lancer GTS model. Customers who purchase a Lancer DE or ES model will find themselves enjoying driving more than before.

The source for Lancer's engaging, fun-driving character is a new global performance-engineered platform that has been optimized for a maximum-performance variant (which will arrive at a later date). This platform was introduced first for the 2007 Outlander SUV, a vehicle that provides uncommonly energetic driving responses for its segment.

The 2008 Lancer GTS - with the standard 5-speed manual transmission or the optional Sportronic(R) CVT - combines a sport-tuned suspension with 18-inch wheels 215/45 R18 tires and large 4-wheel disc brakes to make this model an aggressive twisty-road tamer. Lancer models - and especially the sport-tuned GTS - will offer an international driving character more commonly found in expensive European sport sedans.

The 2008 Lancer DE and ES models, with their standard 16-inch wheels (alloy on ES) and 205/60 R16 tires, provide solid and stable driving performance that can help make even an ordinary commute to work more enjoyable. The ES adds standard anti-lock brakes (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), as well as a rear stabilizer bar for sharper handling.
